Welcome to PaulsFinest.com! I founded my business in 2001 because I was tired of always having to order from the US and other countries just to get great products, quickly, and at fair prices. I try to only sell products I like and would use myself. Everything in stock is new and factory fresh: NO "refurbished" or damaged or dirty products (unless otherwise clearly indicated, and further discounted!) And what about stock? YES, if the site says it's in stock, it's HERE at our Montreal area warehouse, ready to ship out immediately!
FREE SHIPPING on most orders over $99 (excludes NT, NU, YT)! And we really are Canadian! Canadian prices, and everything ships from our Montreal-area warehouse, so NO cross-border hassles, fees, duty, delays, or other worries.
NOTE: We are still shipping out orders daily with no delays due to Covid-19.Once in transit we are seeing shipping delays in some cases, so your patience is greatly appreciated.
Paul offers quick and excellent advice. Highly recommended !!!
Wonderful service and attention to detail. Items arrived very quickly, exactly as shown, good price.
What's not to love about this shop?
The 2 pieces I ordered arrived sooner than I thought well packed and a good price, how can you go wrong I look forward to dealing with Paul's in the future.
Amazing knife, incredibly sharp and is easy to work with. Just what I was looking for
Came sharp out of the box a month ago and it’s still holding a very sharp edge. The only small negative is that it needs to be washed and dried immediately after use. The drying is very important as it will rust.
Kyle Noseworthy reviewed this on his you tube channel and he was right, this stone is awesome!
Great for starting a blade before moving up to finer grits. It's so smooth and fast, a joy to work with.
As a retired cabinet maker, chief cook in our house and an amateur knife maker, I really appreciate cutting tools that have a good edge. I used to use oil stones and water stones and they still have their place, but for ease of use nothing is like a diamond hone. No honing oils or pre soaking the stones in water, diamond stones just need a splash of water and away you go. When I am finished, a quick wipe with a rag to remove the swarf and the stones are ready for the next use.
The 600 grit is ideal for a good working edge on all knives and the 325 grit is perfect for restoring the edge after prolonged use. I use them with my chisels as well, the 325 to establish the bevel and the 600 for the micro bevel. I will say that for paring chisels 600 isn't fine enough, but for those with a steeper bevel, 600 is just fine.
The stand works very well. I was skeptical as to whether what I saw in the online image would be ridged enough and not slide around. I needn't have worried.
I am very pleased with this product and recommend it.
I live in the greater Montreal area and the shipping was extremely fast, even during covid situation. The prices are reasonable as well. Lucky to have a store like this near me.
This is the one stone to own/use if you only want one stone to sharpen your kitchen knives. For damaged knives (e.g. dented, chips), it would still work but with a considerate longer amount of sharpening time to get a new, sharp edge.
This stone can make the edge of a blade look better (polished shine) and potentially sharper too.
Price, packaging and shipping were all first class. Excellent, dependable service from PF and I would highly recommend to anyone.
Stone cuts very fast and remains quite flat compared to other low grit waterstones, which surprised me a bit. I'm actually using it to flatten chisel backs and it excels. I regularly lap the stone with Atoma 140 and this seems to work fine. Very pleased with my purchase.
First off I would like to thank Paul for giving his clients the best service you could possibly have fast and efficient
Great suggestions and advice which makes the buying experience less stressful keep up the good work!!!! Cheers
After using 1000 grit stone I just finish it with the 5000 grit and this stone makes the blade sharper
Works great ....good enough for my need and as suggested by Paul
More than meets my expectations. Supper sharp knives with in minutes with out any prior experience in sharpening
