Ces plaques sont réputées pour leur répartition très uniforme des diamants, donc l'abrasion est très puissante et constante, et elles sont un peu moins sujettes au colmatage en raison des canaux entre les petits tas de diamants répartis sur la surface. Idéal pour l'affûtage des couteaux et des outils, mais peut-être mieux connu pour être superbe pour aplatir/roder les pierres à aiguiser.

Great for Woodworkers

Came across Rob Cosman's hand plane blade sharpening techniques and they made sense to me. I bought an Atoma 400 diamond plate (to flatten ceramic stone and rework tool profiles), an Atoma 1200 diamond plate (maintenance sharpening), and a Shapton 16000 GS (to hone and polish). Going from the 1200 to the 16000 grit was quick and resulted in the thinnest wood shavings I have ever made on my very first sharpening attempt with these products. These three products together create a very good sharpening system for woodworkers.
