Based on the best-selling Classic series, this new Classic IKON series features the same incredible high quality with superb fit, finish and sharpness, but with an updated and more rounded handle style, all metal end-cap, and a new semi-bolsterless design so it's easy to sharpen and gives full access to the entire blade length (more along the lines of traditional Japanese knife styling). I REALLY like these handles. I was a Classic guy before because I just really liked the feel of the handle material AND shape in my hand. This handle material is the same as the Classic so it provides excellent grip and feel even when wet, and the shape, well, I think it's just fantastic -- an ideal balance between the "ergonomic" trend, and superb fit of the standard Classic-style handle. Fantastic modern and classy good looks, comfort and construction quality. Superb edge, and overall fit and finish, in an easy to maintain knife. An excellent value in a high-end knife!
