This is my first good knife so I don't have much frame of comparison - but I have to say I love this knife. It took me a few days to get used to it, but it performs wonderfully on softer foods, mostly vegetables for my purposes. Not so great on anything harder like carrots, but maybe that's just my fear of damaging it. It is on the lighter side so that could be it. Slices tend to stick - beware the potato! Makes me want to see how many I can stick at once.
The knife looks simple but elegant, has solid construction and came wonderfully smooth and sharp out of the box. I'm almost afraid I won't be able to get it sharpened as well when it next needs sharpening.
This knife is now my baby in the kitchen and is such a treat to use. I find myself making excuses to chop more things.
