Wusthof calls this a "sandwich knife". Here it's commonly known and used as a "utility knife". It's basically a nice all-purpose small-ish slicer (notice it has the same part number as the slicers and carving knives below, except that it's shorter). The thin blade makes it great for carving/slicing meats, vegetables, fruit, and yes, even sandwiches ... or maybe it's a "sandwich" knife so you can use it to prepare things to put INTO your sandwiches? Either way, a handy and popular knife for a growing collection.
