I have usually used Victorinox paring knives as my go-to and they are fantastic for the price. this time around I wanted to try something a bit different and funkier and heard good things about Opinels and find them to be very cool-looking knives. the quality of the materials like the steel and handle material looks to be great but the fit and finish of the handle are not great and left a lot to b desired. most of the edges and joints are sharp and not smooth and the wood absorbs a lot of moisture when washed.
The blade was decently sharp but a very visible burr was present and required sharpening and like other things felt unfinished.
overall this could be a great knife but feels a bit unfinished so you have to do some sanding and mild grinding yourself but a good product regardless. If you don't find anything you crave particularly about this knife go for the Victorinox since it's a better knife overall at a lower price.
