This mechanism allows you to smoothly select from a range of grinds, from super-fine to coarse, all with a simple twist of the bottom ring; that’s right, no more unscrewing the top screw and having the top of the mill rattle if you wanted a very coarse grind. Now the grinding (the same twisting of the top) is independent of the grind setting (twisting the bottom). It really works! The manual models still work great of course, but if you’ve ever been frustrated by the “floppy top” syndrome of the traditional mill design (especially if you prefer coarse grinds), you’ll love the Peugeot U-Select.
