Is your first name Günther? Then this is your knife! All joking aside, this really is a cool knife. To hold it is to want it, even if you're not normally a "big knife" fan. Seriously though, I don't think this is too massive a knife for general use -- I find it quite usable and it's not much of a monster. I could see myself using this as a regular knife. It weighs about 315g (vs. approx. 270g for the standard 4582-26 10" knife), and it's deeper at the heel so your hand is higher off the cutting board and you can get some great rocking action going (since the deeper heel also gives you more curve/belly towards the tip). Great balance, heft and overall feel. A truly old-school classic if that's your thing.
