Messermeister Four Seasons Scalloped Bread Knife, 10-inch Sharp, cheap, big -- hey, it's everything you need in a serious bread knife. This is the kind of knife the pros use (I have NO idea why knife-makers continue to offer short 8" and thick-bladed "bread" knives for home users when these serrated slicers work MUCH better and are much more versatile). Makes short work of even large crusty artisan breads. Also great as a general-purpose crusty roast/meat slicer. I use this knife at home for my homemade crusty sourdough bread. Not boxed.
