Who and what is PSS Enterprises & PaulsFinest.com?
PaulsFinest.com is run by PSS Enterprises, an authorized Canadian distributor of Maha PowerEx batteries & chargers, Wusthof Knives, Masahiro Knives, Füri Knives, Microplane graters,and more! PSS Enterprises is owned and operated by Paul Schwartz (I'm the "PSS" in PSS Enterprises of course!) To keep costs low, I only sell by mail via the Internet and do not have a retail store, although if you're in the Montreal area, you're welcome to arrange a local order pickup at my Lachine address (below) which is just off highway 20, an approximately 5-minute drive from the Dorval airport. Please place your order online, and in the shopping cart select "local order pickup" as your shipping option (the shipping cost will be put to zero), and when your order is submitted, I'll email you soon after with details regarding available times and with driving directions.

If you sent me an email and haven't received a response, it's probably because I never received it -- with all the spam filters and such these days, emails sometimes never get through so if you sent an email and I haven't responded within a reasonable amount of time, try again, or call (514-637-7164).

Note that I'm not set up for phone orders, so it's always best to use the site as this guarantees the quickest and most accurate order processing (the site is kept up to date with inventory and prices so the numbers you see on the site are correct up to the minute). If you do not want to use your credit card online, you can still order via the site and select "credit card, phone" as your payment option, and when the order is submitted, just call me with your credit card type, number and expiry (if I'm not here you may leave this information on my voice mail -- it's secure). Due to the online nature of my business, I do not operate a separate fax line, but if you call first to arrange a fax I can receive one manually.

What's it all about?
I've had many diverse hobbies and careers, from computer programming, to music (see my Concertina.net!), to artisan baking (I'm a member of the Bread Baker's Guild of America), pastry (I've worked as a pastry chef and artisan bread baker), bonsai, computers, electronics, and more. And to support these hobbies I just love spending lots of time, energy and money researching the best and most cost-effective and affordable products. I've also discovered that my friends and family love taking advantage of my enthusiasm to get advice when it comes to a new purchase... whenever they want to make a purchase, they've taken to "just calling Paul." At their urging I started actually selling these great products I found because these specialty items were almost always only available at inflated prices from specialty American mail-order companies. These same companies (not to mention Canada Post and Canada Customs) often make it difficult and expensive to ship products to Canada. Well, customers from across Canada echoed these sentiments and responded with great enthusiasm to my efforts to bring bring the best products for the money together and make them available with great and friendly service and fair prices. Keep in mind though that I'm not always looking to sell the "best", since most people rarely need that extra 2% which usually distinguishes the "best" and which often costs an extra 200%. My focus is always on what brings you the best value for what you really need to take pride in your hobbies, work, and results. And if I don't think something will meet your needs and is worth the price, I simply won't sell it. Simple, but rare in these days of big-box stores run by bean-counters who who only care about profit margins and advertising campaigns and who have no concern for the product which actually ends up in the customer's hands and home.
