Traditional (pointy edge) serrations on the edge allow this beautifully-made thin bladed knife to cut agressively and to be resharpened as easily as any other serrated knife. Perfect for use as a bread knife or for slicing nearly anything in the kitchen. Once you try a nice slicer like this you'll NEVER go back to that thick-bladed and short "bread" knife that came with some set you bought years ago. Works great on nice and crusty artisan breads. I sell more of these as bread knives than I do actual "bread knives". And this works great as an all-purpose serrated slicer for things like roasts or large fruit and vegetables too.
