This is probably the BEST chef's knife that Wusthof has ever made. Not only does it have the popular granton edge, but they've taken everything that's great about a classic Wusthof knife (excellent quality materials and construction; good value; excellent warranty and support) and brought in innovations from Japanese made knives (thinner and lighter blade; no bolster for ease of sharpening and better handling; super-sharp polished edge for ultimate slicing ability), making this a truly fantastic knife. The Secret Weapon of the Wusthof lineup if you ask me! If I could have just one chef's knife from the entire huge Wusthof catalogue, this would be it.
