The extremely sharp serrations on this quality knife make short work of just about any delicate item like tomatoes, soft fruit and even things like sausages which need a slicing action so you don't crush them. Just use a gentle pressure and let the serrations do the work. And the forked tip is to be used like, well, a little fork (!) for helping with serving.
