Ideal companion to a Chef's knife.
A very useful all-around utility/slicer knife for meat, fruit, and vegetables. This size and type of knife sits comfortably between a larger chef's knife and full-size slicer. Wusthof calls it a "sandwich" knife, but most people would simply consider it an all-purpose larger "utility" knife. Pretty handy-dandy when you just want a good knife for a quick job without the bulk of a chef's knife. Same comfortable and nearly indestructible grip and razor-sharp hardened stainless steel edge as the rest of the classic line. Forged German steel quality for a lifetime of use. Also see the 4066-12 for a slightly smaller utility, or go for the same version of this knife but with an extra 2 cm (4522-16).
