Product Review

Paul, thanks for your speedy delivery - everything's arrived intact and I've put the Chef's Choice knife sharpener to quick use with GREAT results. Thanks again for your online recommendations - I never would have found this wonderful machine without your research and endorsement.

Wonder Cup Adjustable Plunger Wet/Dry Measuring Cup, 2-cup

Wonder Cup Adjustable Plunger Wet/Dry Measuring Cup, 2-cup This is the coolest measuring cup ever. I first noticed Alton Brown using it on his FoodTV show Good Eats, and it took me a long time to track it down (I've never once seen it for sale here in Canada). So here it is, and here's why it's cool: it's a clear plastic tube, with a softer yellow plastic plunger inside (so it's like a big syringe). The outside has markings for measuring in fractions of cups, ounces, tablespoons, teaspoons, as well as the metric millilitre and fraction of litre scales. To use it you just push down on the plunger until it's at the measure you want, fill it up, then push the plunger to extract your ingredient. So what's the big deal? How about measuring 9 tablespoons of margarine? By hand it's a messy and innacurate chore, but with this, you just set it at 9 tablespoons, scoop in the margarine, level it off, and plunge it cleanly out. Same thing with other sticky/messy ingredients like honey, molasses, butter, shortening, peanut butter, etc. Of course it also works great with any dry ingredients just like a regular measuring cup. Two-cup (480 ml) capacity. Makes an excellent gift!
