Before first use: loosen the button fully, ensuring the mechanism drops down; grind; tighten knob again depending on desired grind size. To be ground correctly, the salt must be damp but not soaked. If it is too wet, leave it to air dry for 24 to 48 hours before filling the salt mill. Wet sea salt tends to clog the mechanism, preventing the ground salt from coming out. If this happens, simply loosen the knob, gently tap it unblock the mechanism and then readjust as above. |
