Naniwa

I searched over 3 years to find a great Japanese waterstone, and I found them with Naniwa! They manufacture a range of industrial and home sharpening stones, and this "Super Stone" range that I carry are their high end stones, suitable for home, restaurant, professional sharpening, and are equally at home in the workshop or anywhere else your fine knives or tools need the absolute best edge. The Super Stone line has superior materials and craftsmanship meaning they wear longer and are flatter and higher quality out of the box (cheap stones are often not flat and so will not function properly without dressing them before your even use them for the first time). These stones come individually boxed and mounted on heavy-duty plastic bases with non-slip rubber feet. They are a full 2cm thick for years of use (cheaper stones are often just 1cm and so can wear out much more quickly), and a large 21cmx7cm surface (8.25"x2.75") means you have plenty of surface area to sharpen larger knives without premature wear. Made in Japan.
