Hi Paul, [...] The 2500's [Maha batteries] and C801D charger that you sold to me are great ... I have 6 sets of those batteries and truthfully, with 2000+ shots at a wedding (with 60-75% shot with flash), I rarely go thru all all of them. I also have 4 sets of the Energizer 2500's... they're not bad, but out of 20 batteries, I've had to toss 4 out as they stopped holding a charge. With the 40 or so batteries I've bought from you over time, well, they are still all in operation. I digress... I really appreciate you being the Canadian supplier of MAHA... I tell people about you all of the time! [...] I have also purchased "cheap" NiMH's off of eBay a few years back - they stopped holding a charge after 3-6 months so I had to toss those. Not good for my pocket book or the enviroment either. You really do get what you pay for. The Misono 440 series knives were made with the working professional chef in mind. They feature a strong 440 steel with a higher than usual chrome content (16%). This yields a strong blade with great rust resistance, while still remaining easy to sharpen and maintain. The fit and finish of the handle is also excellent, and the blade finish is a notch above the Moly series, with a more highly polished blade, top edge, and a very precise edge. The box is also a more deluxe box, along the lines of the UX10 packaging. The handle features a rounded end, like a traditional European knife, and the handle length is slightly longer than the Moly (like the UX10) for superb balance and control. A true working professional's tool! Also great for home use too of course.

Another excellent santoku by Misono! An excellent choice for professional chefs and serious home cooks who are looking for a high quality Japanese knife with excellent workmanship, materials, fit and finish, but at an affordable price and with ease of maintenance. This knife is a hit on all those counts. It looks good, the finish is truly excellent, and the edge is fantastic and yet not TOO thin to render it fragile like some Japanese knives (I've never had a single report of a problem with any Misono I've ever sold, and I sell plenty to pros who use them all day long). This is an excellent knife by any standard. I can honestly and heartily recommend this knife for someone looking for a high quality true working tool. These aren't the sexiest looking knives, but they're the real deal.

Comes in a beautiful turquoise and black Japanese gift box, making it a great gift for culinary school students, friends, family, or anyone else who appreciates a quality tool.
