Handy tube containing 64.4g (2.2 oz) of high quality Malabar black peppercorns. Perfect for your Peugeot peppermill of course! Fresh black pepper is easy to grind and has superior flavor and aroma -- avoid cheap supermarket pepper which is usually stale and has a flat and dull flavour and almost no aroma. Pepper is a complicated spice (which is why it is used so much) that should contribute MUCH more than just "heat". The Malabar coast of India produces this special grade of black pepper, which is very aromatic and pungent. Like a good wine, good pepper adds excitement and complexity to your meal by working on your palate without necessarily tasting of "pepper" -- chefs speak of "seasoning" with salt and pepper, not making it taste like pepper or taste "hot"! Kosher approved.
