Felco pruners are THE worldwide standard for garden pruners! Felco is the world-leading manufacturer of professional pruning shears since 1945. I've had numerous customers over the years recommend them to me, so I'm very pleased to finally have them in stock and available to my fellow Canadians at very competitive and affordable prices (they are often VERY expensive in stores).

Made in Switzerland, these pruners have to be seen and held to be appreciated -- photos don't do them justice! They can be completely taken apart (except the lightweight molded models F-300 and F310) for maintenance, cleaning and sharpening, so these are tools which can last you a lifetime. They are VERY heavy duty, with lots of solid cast or forged metal used throughout (NOT stamped and folded junk like the cheap pruners you'll see at most garden centres).

If you're just looking for the most popular and standard version, definitely go for the F2 -- it's the worldwide standard. Other models offer slight variations on this design so do have a look at those too if you're in the market for something a little different, but if you just want a good place to start, it's definitely the F2.

And don't forget to consider a sharpener (see the Felco Diamond Sharpener below), grease, and a holster to complete the package. The holsters especially are excellent (very heavy duty leather) and make carrying and storing the pruner safer and easier.
