When my mother-in-law first bought a Chef's Choice kettle for over $100 a few years ago (they drink lots of tea) I thought she was crazy -- who spends $100 on a kettle to boil water?? But once I started using it when we visited, I saw that it really was worth it. It's such a great device, being super well made, great looking, and the "cordless" aspect is fantastic and actually really, really useful: you just pick it up and it separates from the base (which is attached to the cord), so it's a piece of cake to fill or empty without being tethered to the darn electric cord (which always seems too long or too short on traditional kettles). And so I finally decided to bring in this new model for sale (and I took one out of inventory for myself too to use at home -- it's fantastic). And if you still boil water on the stove, you'll LOVE this -- it's MUCH faster and much more energy efficient.
