Handmade knife from the workshop of master craftsman Jacques Mongin of France. Mongin calls this a 8cm knife -- in fact the closed knife is 8cm long. The blade is 4.5cm long, and the open knife is 13cm long. Such a cool knife. It's a very unique shape and style -- the name "Coup de Poing" is French for "punch" (the literal translation is "hit of the fist") so you can see the overall style of this little bruiser! The handle is worked from a highly polished solid piece of gorgeous natural blond coloured horn tip, with a natural brown/blond variegated pattern. It's classy and eye catching all at the same time. I tried to capture it as best I could in the photos, but trust me, it's even better looking in real life. The blade is super-polished (like a mirror!) Sandvik stainless steel, with a superbly ground sharp blade. The closing mechanism is a spring (it's what the metal shape is on top of the knife) with a simple, VERY strong and effective locking mechanism activated (to close the knife once it is locked open) by pulling on the loop ring attached to the top of the mechanism (it's a classic Mongin design). Comes with a soft leather stitched slip case. Makes a truly incredible one-of-a-kind gift! Of course a lifetime warranty is standard.
